So, after visiting the UK I flew straight to Copenhagen, Denmark. Here are a few photos:
The weekend we were in CPH was to celebrate Linea’s birthday! This photo was taken outside her parents house on the outskirts of the city. We met her family and had lunch there, and then had a trip to what is called Copenhagen’s ‘mini Manhatten’ – I will post photos later. It’s an amazing place architecturally.
After collecting my from the airport, we went to meet Linea’s brother at his university, the IT university (I think). It was incredible! The building was huge and had flags showing all the countries hanging in the central hall – it also had boxes on the walls that had the time and dates scrolling across – I can’t explain this too well… hopefully you’ll see what I mean from the photos below.
Just to explain how geeky this IT University was – there was a specific room called ‘GAMES ROOM’ – a room filled with macs for the sole purpose of online gaming… I’m sorry, what?!
There is ‘Christmas’ beer served in Denmark… probably in Norway too. I don’t know that we have anything like that in England? Can’t say it tasted much different to normal beer…
Did I ever mention I suck at drinking games? Here is proof, though I’m not sure if you are able to view this video.
This is the entrance to the bar we went to on the Friday night. I just liked how people had put stickers all over it & that the logo was lit. “Gefarlich” means “Dangerous”. Below I have shown the back of the employee t-shirts – it really had me laughing!
We went to a few bars and met some of Linea’s friends (you can see Morten in one of the photos). It was really fun and when we got back to their place, we were so drunk and so tired! Linea and Emi had taken the night bus to CPH earlier that day, and had arrived at 6am (met by Mikkel) after having zero sleep on the coach. Alejandro arrived later that day, after the 8 hour coach ride. And I had been in the UK and partying with those of you in B’town, so I had also had little sleep! This was us the next morning:
